🎷 ABCUSD Jazz Showcase
Call time for all groups is 5:30pm at Artesia HS.
We will watch other groups, warm-up briefly, and perform when it is our turn. There is an order of performances, but not a set schedule. The event will move naturally from one group to the next.
For the first time ever, the event will conclude with the ABC All-Star Jazz Band, made up of some of the best jazz musicians in the district.
Dress code is concert black+a tie in the color of your band (red for Jazz 1, and gold for Jazz 2- just like at our jazz festivals)
🎆 ABCUSD Guard/Percussion Showcase
Call time for all groups is 5:00pm at Gahr HS.
We will watch other groups, warm-up briefly, and perform when it is our turn. There is an order of performances, but not a set schedule. The event will move naturally from one group to the next.
This is a great chance to see what the other programs in the district are doing, and perform our finished shows for each other before champs!
💵 Donations!
As a reminder, our “Fair Share” Assessment is the program’s suggested voluntary financial contribution that helps support the operational needs of our band and color guard program each year. These contributions help make possible the instruction, performances, and experiences our students enjoy throughout the season.
For the 2025–2026 school year, the suggested annual contribution was $800 per student. Percussion and Color Guard students have an additional $800 assessment to support the costs associated with their winter seasons, for a total suggested contribution of $1,600.
These donations directly support many essential program expenses, including competition and registration fees, coaching stipends, sheet music, food for students during long rehearsal and performance days, and transportation.
It is vital to the continued success of the program that everyone participates to the best of their ability.
As we move toward the end of the school year, we are asking families who have not yet had the opportunity to contribute to consider making a donation if they are able. Every contribution helps us continue providing the opportunities and experiences that make this program special for our students.
